3rd SEMESTER / COURSE: AUDIOVISUAL AND MULTIMEDIA

This curricular unit aims to endow students with conceptual tools that enable a vision and a critical reflection on the image, providing them at the same time with tools for its analysis and interpretation. It is organized into two major groups, the first one devoted to the question “What is an Image?”, where we will address issues related to its constituent elements, the perception, the relationship with the viewer and the analogy, and the second one devoted to the “Significance of the Image”, where tools for decoding the various types of images will be acquired and developed. The aim is thus to develop a framework of theoretical references and analytical methods in view of creating a systematization of visual experience.
