The Audiovisual Services (SAV) are a department within ESCS responsible for managing technical and human resources, aiming to provide support to the entire academic community.
The responsibilities of SAV include:
- Providing specialized technical support in the use of equipment during academic activities, research projects, and other initiatives developed within the institutional context of the School;
- Suggesting professional development and training programs for staff responsible for carrying out the tasks mentioned above;
- Issuing technical recommendations regarding the acquisition of audiovisual equipment, ensuring technical compliance with the institutional commitments assumed by ESCS;
- Managing the Audiovisual Equipment Center (CEA), with regard to the preservation, maintenance, and monitoring of audio, video, photography, and lighting equipment, as well as ensuring these audiovisual resources are made available to the school community.
The responsibilities of the CEA include:
- Coordinating the development of efficient systems for booking audiovisual equipment;
- Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and optimal operational condition of all equipment, guaranteeing their readiness for use;
- Receiving returned equipment and performing thorough checks of their technical and functional condition;
- Conducting periodic and systematic inspections of the equipment in order to identify and address potential issues, operational irregularities, or physical deterioration at an early stage;
- Formally documenting, via electronic communication to the SAV coordinator, any anomalies detected in the equipment, prioritizing promptness in this process;
- Providing, upon request, technical guidance on the correct operation of the equipment, strictly limited to operational aspects and excluding any conceptual or pedagogical considerations;
- Ensuring the efficient organization and management of CEA's space and resources;
- Maintaining effective and consistent institutional communication through established electronic channels;
- Encouraging and promoting collaborative practices and professional cooperation dynamics.
The Audiovisual Equipment Center is located on floor -2 of the building, for equipment pickup and return.
To formally request audiovisual resources, a dedicated digital platform is available for managing and allocating audiovisual equipment intended for academic project execution.
To reserve the desired equipment, users must access the designated digital platform, select the IPLNET logo, and complete the authentication fields using the credentials associated with their institutional email account.
NOTE:
Outside the IPL Benfica Campus, access to the platform must be made through a VPN connection (Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 or Mac OS).
