2nd SEMESTER / COURSE: PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

Communication in the public interest can now be designed essentially as communication for social change and this may be defined as a process of public and private dialogue through which people define who they are, what they want and how they can get. The aim of this unit is to trace the links between specific areas of intervention of the RP and the areas of intervention of public communication. In the context of communication in the public interest becomes increasingly necessary knowledge and understanding of the major issues that are on the agenda both in public health, energy, environment, or in many other areas. A special attention will be given to technical aspects and questions of “interpretation” and “understanding” of concepts generally considered difficult to understand for the average citizen. Due to the fact that the communication in the public interest is not be free from conflicts and ethical problems such aspects will be the subject of further reflection and discussion in the seminar.
