Subject

Audiovisual Communication (Development)

2nd SEMESTER / COURSE: AUDIOVISUAL AND MULTIMEDIA / OPTIONAL

We live in a world saturated with images and sounds. But precisely because images and sounds occupy a central place in our lives, we tend not to think of them, nor reading and perceiving them in the same way that we interpret verbal or written communication, for example. However, the communication system defined by the moving image, and from it the new relationships that the digital convergence has enabled, is so ubiquitous today that defines in a crucial manner the contemporary culture in virtually all its forms.

The course proposes both a theoretical and practical approach of the production cycle of those audiovisual discourses, with emphasis on the directing of multiplatform fictional narratives, exploring the audiovisual text, questioning how the media language’s micro-elements interact and are structured in the production of meaning, and examining the key concepts of the media language.
