Objectives
Media and Journalism
In this course unit, students may choose between two possible paths:
Immersive Experience:
Applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course in a professional setting is a key step toward consolidating students' training. This option allows students to assess their ability to meet the challenges of practicing specialized sports journalism and to critically reflect on the associated production routines and constraints. Students will undertake an immersive experience in a sports-focused media outlet, during which they will perform journalistic tasks and gather insights to produce a brief critical report, to be presented and discussed at the end of the semester.
Project:
The ability to propose, design, and carry out distinctive journalistic work is essential for preparing future professionals to meet the challenges of the job market. In this option, students will be guided through the process of conceiving and producing an original project, ensuring integration of the knowledge acquired throughout the course and encouraging critical thinking about the practices developed.
