On 14 July, Universidade Atlântica – Fábrica da Pólvora, in Oeiras, will host the II LIACOM Researchers' Meeting and the II UNESCO Chair Residency, an initiative bringing together academic staff and researchers for a day dedicated to knowledge sharing, strengthening collaborative networks, and the co-creation of research projects.

Held annually, these events aim to strengthen connections within the scientific communities of LIACOM and the UNESCO Chair on Communication, Media Literacy and Citizenship (ESCS-IPL), providing a space for reflection, dialogue, and the development of joint research initiatives around shared interests.

Under the theme "A Collective Journey in Three Acts – Identity, Connection and Action", the 2026 edition proposes a collaborative journey that invites participants to reflect on the work carried out so far, identify opportunities for cooperation, and co-create new strategic directions for the future.

The programme begins at 9:30 a.m., following a welcome session, and unfolds across three distinct stages. Act I – Identity will focus on presenting the achievements of LIACOM and its research structures. Act II – Connection will feature a group activity designed to encourage dialogue and strengthen links among participants. In the afternoon, Act III – Action will be dedicated to co-creation sessions, culminating in the presentation of the LIACOM Roadmap 2026–2030 and the closing session.

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes a lunch hosted by LIACOM.

The initiative is intended for academic staff and researchers affiliated with LIACOM and the UNESCO Chair on Communication, Media Literacy and Citizenship (ESCS-IPL), serving as a valuable opportunity to strengthen scientific collaboration and foster new joint research initiatives.
