On 16 and 17 November 2026, the U!REKA Thinkathon: Solve the Citywill take place, an initiative dedicated to the collaborative development of solutions for more sustainable, smart and carbon-neutral cities.

Over two days, higher education students and teaching staff from different fields of study and institutions are invited to work together to identify and address real-world urban challenges, bringing together different knowledge, skills and perspectives.

The Thinkathon aims to provide a space for interdisciplinary collaboration, where participants can develop ideas, create prototypes, test solutions and present their projects.

The initiative is open to participants from national and international higher education institutions, regardless of their field of study.

Where?

The U!REKA Thinkathon: Solve the City will take place at ESELx – Lisbon School of Education, on the Benfica Campus of the Lisbon Polytechnic University.
