The energy efficiency improvement works at the ESCS building are already underway, under the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). This intervention represents an important step in the modernization and enhancement of the School’s infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and to improving the conditions for teaching, work, and campus life.

The project includes the installation of more efficient lighting, new climate control systems, improvements to the thermal performance of the stone façade, and interventions in a small area of the building’s roof. These measures will increase thermal comfort, reduce energy consumption, and promote a more sustainable use of resources.

In order to ensure the continuity of teaching and academic activities, the works were planned to take place mainly during the academic break (Christmas holidays) and up to the beginning of the second semester, safeguarding classes during the interim week, as well as regular and resit/improvement examination periods.

Throughout the execution of the works, minor adjustments may occur as part of a process that will bring lasting benefits to the entire academic community. ESCS would like to thank students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff in advance for their understanding and cooperation, which are essential to the success of this intervention and to the continuous improvement of its facilities.
