Social Analysis

1st SEMESTER / COURSE: ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

This course aims primarily to present students the conceptual and theoretical frameworks within the social sciences, by integrating the heritages of Anthropology and Sociology, allowing them to build critical and analytical approaches of contemporary social phenomena, marked by complexity, density, instability and fluidity that characterize societies in global and dynamic ways, both internally as in intercultural and interterritorial relationships.
Within the discipline there is also a presentation of the epistemological issues concerning the construction of social knowledge and ways of understanding the social experience and an approach of symbolic communication in social groups.
We intend, also, to establish links and complementarities with other training areas of Social Sciences and the specific areas of each course of ESCS.
