1st SEMESTER / COURSE: PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT / OPTIONAL

This curricular unit intends to present and discuss concepts and problems relating business management, namely the ones more closely linked with issues of a financial and strategic nature. In what concerns the financial dimension we will be mainly concerned with the evaluation of investment projects that the firm may undertake and with the corresponding ways to finance the activities. Regarding the strategic component, this will highlight that the business decisions are not undertaken without having in consideration the behaviour of the other agents in the market. A useful tool for the analysis of strategic interaction is game theory; its basic principles are explored.
