1st SEMESTER / COURSE: PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT / OPTIONAL

Within the framework of contemporary society, with the phenomenon of digital convergence, the expansion of user-generated content and the acclamation of social media, we observe the growth of a “participation culture” that calls for the communicational, creative and civic involvement of audiences. At the same time, the growing immersion in digital networks and unprecedented access to creative tools and globalized forms of distribution have profoundly changed the practices of artistic and cultural creation, launching new challenges in terms of their mediation. This curricular unit aims to frame and analyse different contemporary practices of mediation of artistic and cultural expressions, exploring various case studies, with special emphasis on the museum sector.
