Colapso won the Lisbon 48 Hour Film Project, featuring an ESCS student

The short film Colapso, which featured Aurora Gil, a second-year student on the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia, was the overall winner of this year's 48 Hour Film Project Lisbon.

Written and directed by Miguel Partidário, the production won seven awards, including Best Film and Best Director, and also received six nominations in the competition. Aurora Gil was part of the production team, working as a production assistant.

Set in the near future, following a climate collapse, Colapso stood out among the competing productions and secured qualification for Filmapalooza 2027, which will take place in Curaçao. The international 48 Hour Film Project competition could pave the way for selection for the Cannes Film Festival, where the best films will be selected.

The participation of ESCS students in projects of this nature highlights the importance of hands-on experience and engagement in professional environments for the development of skills in the audiovisual field.
