The President of the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS), André Sendin, took part in the signing of an international cooperation agreement established between the Polytechnic University of Lisbon and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill), reinforcing the commitment to the internationalization of teaching and research in the field of communication.
The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, establishes a strategic partnership between the two institutions, directly involving ESCS and the Hussman School of Journalism & Media.
This protocol provides for the development of several joint initiatives, namely the creation of academic programs and course units, the mobility of faculty, researchers, and students, as well as the implementation of research projects, training activities, and the sharing of publications and other scientific resources.
The collaboration now established aims to promote mutual benefits, fostering closer articulation in the fields of teaching and research in communication and media within an international framework. The agreement sets an initial duration of five years and does not entail direct financial commitments between the parties involved.
With the signing of this protocol, ESCS strengthens its position as a leading institution in the field of communication, affirming international cooperation as a central strategic axis for the education of its students and for academic development.
