Objectives

This course aims to provide students with tools that allow them to understand the particularities of the different types of text that can be used as the basis for an adaptation. Students are invited to answer the challenge of selecting and identifying which elements to keep, change or eliminate to avoid perverting the meaning of the original text.

Comprehension of the creative process involved in adaptation, identifying the particularities of different types of text and their potential for adaptation. Comprehension and use of the main adaptation techniques, understanding adaptation as a process of displacement of the discursive environment. Comprehension of the differences and similarities between adaptation and rewriting.
