Ana Martins, guest lecturer at the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS), has been appointed the new Managing Director of LPM. The appointment comes as the communications consultancy celebrates 40 years of activity.

With almost two decades of experience at LPM, Ana Martins now takes on the leadership of the consultancy’s General Management, following a career in which she has held several positions of responsibility within the organisation. Throughout her career, she served as Director-General of Clients, where she managed strategic communication projects, founded the Digital department and led the Development area. She currently also serves as a Board Advisor at LPM.

Alongside her professional career in communications, Ana Martins maintains a connection with academia as a guest lecturer at ESCS, where she shares her experience and expertise with the School’s students.

The new LPM General Management structure also includes Sandra Silva, who takes on the role of Deputy Managing Director. With 25 years of professional experience, Sandra Silva began her career in journalism, working at Agência Lusa and later serving as Press Adviser to the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications. She has been with LPM since 2007, where she has led several communication projects across a wide range of sectors.

The leadership change comes at a particularly significant time for LPM, as the consultancy celebrates 40 years of activity. The company currently has 147 employees and operates across the areas of Reputation, Affairs, Digital, People, Influencers and Activations.

João Paixão, CEO of LPM, highlights the importance of the new structure for the organisation’s future and also recognises the contribution of Catarina Vasconcelos, who steps down as Managing Director after 16 years in the role and 30 years with LPM.

ESCS congratulates Ana Martins on her new role and on the recognition of her career in communications, wishing her every success in this new professional challenge.
