We are delighted to welcome our incoming Erasmus+ students to the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS), Polytechnic University of Lisbon (UPL), and to Lisbon, one of Europe’s most vibrant and inspiring cities.

As part of the 2026/2027 Welcome Programme, ESCS has prepared a special programme to help new incoming students settle into academic life, discover the school and become part of the ESCS community.

On 11 September 2026, we will welcome our incoming Erasmus+ students with a dedicated session where you will have the opportunity to discover ESCS, its learning and creative spaces, TV and Radio studios and laboratories. You will also meet fellow incoming Erasmus+ students and other members of the ESCS community.

Whether this is your first time in Portugal or you already know Lisbon, we hope your time at ESCS will be enriching, memorable and full of new experiences and opportunities.

START OF CLASSES

Classes for the 2026/2027 academic year begin on 14 September 2026.

CLASS SCHEDULE

You can check your class schedule and timetable information through the academic platforms available to ESCS students here.

To access your timetable, follow these steps:

1. Click on “Turmas” (Classes).
2. Select “Erasmus”.
3. Select “Ano 1” (Year 1).
4. Select “Erasmus-1S” (Erasmus – First Semester).
5. Finally, click on “Semanas 14/09/2026” (Weeks starting 14 September 2026).

You will then be able to view the Course Units taught in English at ESCS, together with their respective class schedules.

ESCS has prepared a special Welcome Programme for incoming students to help you get to know the School, its spaces and its academic community.

The programme includes several activities taking place on 11 and 14 September, designed to help you become familiar with ESCS and make the most of your first days with us.

Throughout these days, you will have the opportunity to explore ESCS, take part in guided tours, meet members of the ESCS community and attend the opening sessions for the new academic year.
